The hull of the W9 is long, with a pointed bow section and a relatively flat stern. The Nimbus development team intentionally did everything to keep the center of gravity low and achieve a favorable length-to-beam ratio that allows the boat to take on a certain wavelength and safely traverse the ocean.

The Nimbus W9 features an asymmetric deck with a starboard passavants. This provides the boat with a generous space for its size and also allows safe movement around the boat and the foredeck.
