BOAT LICENSE

If you are planning to buy or rent a boat with an engine exceeding 6 HP, you must necessarily have a license.

With a coastal license, you will enjoy a beautiful sailing itinerary around Corsica and discover a small island. A cruise with a full circumnavigation in less than two weeks. A unique and vibrant culture making each stop a journey to the heart of the experience. A selection of some of the most beautiful nautical spots in the world.
The offshore license also allows you to reach Sardinia via the south of Corsica.

The boating license comes in three forms:

River License : for inland water navigation (rivers, lakes and canals)
Average cost with fiscal stamps: 350 euro

COASTAL PERMITNavigation at sea, by day and by night, up to 6 nautical miles (about 11.5 kilometers) without engine power restrictions for the boat, jet-ski, or sea scooter. Beyond this limit, the offshore option is required.
It is divided into two parts:
a theoretical part validated by an exam
a practical part but validated by your trainer

YACHTMASTER PERMITLogical continuation of the Coastal License code, the offshore extension allows navigation without distance or power restrictions across the entire maritime area for a motor pleasure boat. It remains optional for sailboats.

The program is theoretical only: includes navigation on charts and tidal calculations, and multiple choice questions.
