1969 — The first Nimbus

Nimbus 26 — 1969

It all begins here.

TheNimbus 26is the first boat produced by Nimbus. The first five units are built at the very beginning of the adventure and the model was launched in 1969. As early as the following year, the Nimbus 26 received the title ofBoat of the Year, giving the young Swedish shipyard immediate recognition.

With its cabin cruiser design, comfort, and ability to sail just as well with family as on a cruise, the Nimbus 26 lays the foundation for what will become the brand's identity:a boat designed around real life onboard.

Over 50 years of history

From this first Nimbus 26 to the new onesSport Tender 42, Sport Weekender 42 and Sport Coupé 42More than half a century separates the first boats built by the shipyard from its current range.

Yet, the common thread has remained surprisingly constant:Scandinavian design, functionality, safety, comfort, and the joy of living on the water.

Nimbus has thus evolved its boats with their era: from the first cabin cruisers to the Nova and Coupé family models, then to the R, Commander, Tender, Weekender, and Commuter series, up to the new Sport Cruisers that today reinterpret the brand's traditional principles.

Since 1968, Nimbus has not just been building boats. The brand envisions ways to experience the sea.
