The W9 hull is long, with a sharp bow section and a relatively flat stern hull. The Nimbus development team intentionally made every effort to maintain a low center of gravity and achieve a beneficial length-to-width ratio that allows the boat to catch a certain wavelength and navigate the ocean safely.

The Nimbus W9 features an asymmetric deck with a starboard walkway. This gives the boat generous space for its size and also allows safe movement around the boat and foredeck.
